I am pleased to announce the upcoming appointment of Ken Pettit as our new Director of Finance.

A graduate of St. Xavier High School, Ken received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a double major in Accounting and Management Information Systems Analysis and Design in 1986.

His first position was in the Corporate Audit Department of Honeywell, Inc. performing audits and supervising staff auditors at diverse industries in domestic and foreign locations. From 1988 to 1990 he was Mutual Funds Administrator for Gateway Investment Advisors in Cincinnati working in the area of technical compliance.

Ken graduated in May, 1994 from Duke University where he received a Juris Doctor degree and a Master of Arts in Public Policy. Following that he was Clerk to the Alaska Supreme Court.

From 1995 to 1999 he was an associate in the law firm of Bogle and Gates in Anchorage. He came home to his native Cincinnati last year and has been with the law firm of Frost and Jacobs until now.

Ken was also a member of my transition team when I first became County Auditor. He will bring us the benefit of over twelve years of experience in the business and legal professions, including accounting, finance and data processing environments and begin his work with us prior to Labor Day.
